Mogavero Notestine Associates has been an active voice in the regional and statewide community, expanding discussion of the ecological approaches our work advocates.
Many staff members participate in a broad array of community organizations, including many that relate to social and ecological aspects of the built environment such as Habitat for Humanity, the US Green Building Council and the Environmental Council of Sacramento. Several staff members are currently active in leadership roles within these important groups. These include, Renner Johnston: chairman of the USGBC Sacramento Chapter; Jay Hyde: trustee with the Old Town Elk Grove Foundation; and, David de la Pena: member of the City of Davis Planning Commission.
David Mogavero has acted as both president and board member of groups such as the Sacramento Old City Association, the Neighborhood Development Corporation, the Sacramento County Alliance of Neighborhoods, the Planning and Conservation League, and the Environmental Council of Sacramento. Through his professional practice and tenure in these groups, Mr. Mogavero has facilitated the widespread adoption of ecological principles in projects and communities throughout California.
Mike Notestine has sat on the Sacramento City Planning Commission for more than 14 years and is an active participant in ULI Sacramento.
